Rock for People 2024: Drum & Bass Ruled the Crowd!

Last year, we headed to Rock for People and we’ve got to say one thing: it was a ride! The festival in Hradec Králové once again confirmed its status as one of the best music celebrations in the Czech Republic—not just for rock fans, but also for drum & bass lovers.

One of the biggest stars of the event was the legendary Pendulum, who delivered a show that shook the entire festival grounds. Their energy, live performance, and unforgettable tracks had the crowd going wild. If you were there, you know—it wasn’t just a concert, it was an explosion!

Other electronic music legends like The Prodigy were also present, reminding everyone why they’re icons of the genre. And on top of that, Skyline joined the lineup as well.

But it wasn’t just about them! Drum & bass had a strong presence at Rock for People, and one of the biggest names from our scene was Madface, who showed up with his set and absolutely won over the crowd.

Now, a year later, we asked him about his experience playing there:

What was it like to play at the festival last year?

“It was amazing! I was curious how it would feel to play DnB at that kind of festival, and in the end, it was incredible. Pendulum were playing just before me on the adjacent stage, and as soon as they finished, the crowd moved over to me—already hyped and fully fired up.”

How was it different from other DnB festivals?

“Haha, probably in the fact that I barely knew anyone backstage! But other than that? Not much—people were awesome and the backstage crew treated me like royalty.”

All in all, we can confidently say that drum & bass had its rightful place at Rock for People, and we’re so glad we were there to witness it!
